Track Name: median of yr street
all the dogs and ghosts in this town are barking up the tree on the median of your street
and its strange just how the valley carries the sound and i think i was one it was in another life.
when you hold me i can feel my knees, they're running all around town.
and in my sleep you are the only thing i see, so in this darkening light, what do you think you'll be to me?
i'm not afraid, just distantly aware, as i cut off my hair in some weird trend. why would you call the cops if a stereo blares? go out and ask if you really care.
what are you holding? i can feel my knees, they're running all around town. in my sleep you are the only thing i see. so in this darkening light, what do you think you'll be to me.
dying daily. waking might kill something.
Track Name: get thru the nite
get through the night. i don't feel like myself.
i'll go down to the bottom of an oil rig atop the ocean.
waiting for some kind of call. it's an old trope.
i'll close my eyes and draw a fancy canopy halo on your right.
when down and out i don't know...my conscience feels fine.
in a frustration for the whole world i'll let go of my old lies.
without a trust in this world i'll let go of my old lives.
Track Name: watermelons
come to meet me where the farm is growing watermelons, where every step i take is getting in the way of slender fingers from the soil, they come up slowly curling. you come to me and say you do not believe in powers beyond earth's gravity. there's no tired hands that'll lead you through the dark of the woods.
come to meet me where the sand meets the waterfront where everything i say is getting in the way of how i really even feel. when i'm slowly sinking you come to me and say that you could believe it. so tie me down once more beneath your weight, i need a trusted friend who can hold me down when i'm floating away.
Track Name: 2 lightbulbs
this is a note i'm not that sure of yet. stuck at a party, how did you shoulder your way in? i'm shivering cold in the yellow-lit parking lot. i'm not sure what you know, but it feels like a lot.
it's always challenging when you're seeing right through these withered hands, watch my lips as they pour out invisible things, so when i die will you take my eyes, put two lightbulbs inside of me. i will bathe you in light, say you want me a live, that you would marry me.
i'm getting my coat, getting my bike unlocked. leaving you a note, says why i had to go home. and you leave it right where you found it, a new season is ending. i'm not sure what you're thinking and i'm not trying to know.
Track Name: i could use a moment
i could use a moment to myself. in the backyard, i'm drawing out the tired light. (in the backyard)
i watched it rolling down. now what can i do? now that i'm tired you seem so tired too.
well i know myself i'll go around and round if i let myself go. around and round.
Track Name: i want out
self reliance, i'll get along just fine on my own. and there's nothing that i'm gonna ask from you.
independent, so i touch myself with my own hand, and just get a grip when i have to.
down at the bank. i wish it was the beach. well i do fine. still, i want out.
Track Name: second daughter
the second daughter is commonly the quieter out of the two.
she moves slowly when she's vacillating between her two worlds.
when she leaves the woods, she's trying not to hide her former guilt.
when she walks her mother home, she makes sure to hide her new tattoos.

well i am not me the horse is not mine, no identity can absolve her this time, nothing to hide behind or to hold onto.

the second daughter is commonly the quieter out of the two.
she moves slowly when she's vacillating between her two worlds.
she takes the bus to work and draws a new line there in herself.
the sand sticking to her sheets gets in her bed stays on her feet.
Track Name: scavenger
down near the foothill trees, i have no hope for life into a second realm.
then to my sister's right, there's a scavenger. she wants to find another life.
now and when i'm calming down, don't hold me back.
downplay the things we know. we always get so close.
call me what you want, i have no hope, it feels outside of my control.
then, to my brother's right, there's a scavenger. they want to find another life.
Track Name: clenched fist
i never ask for much. gonna hold you up to this. between the wrong and right foot, theres a graceful grey line. gonna leave it there. and walk down the wrong stairs. and leave on time. a voice in the foreground just says "i don't think it'll work out fine."
we never ask for much. still holding you up to this. behind the small of my back, theres a quietly clenched fist. should i leave it there and go down the wrong stairs. and leave on time. a voice in the foreground just says "i don't think it'll work out fine."
marry me she sings to the tide, she has a new girl, says she loves her new life. the day-to-day is mostly dry but out on the tide i'm born anew i know that we'll all die. crawling. dripping on the floor.
Track Name: run around the block
i've got your number but won't call you very often. then i'll want you in my bed. then i'll have you in my head. well i'll just run around the block. if you get caught, say you won't talk. figured all the moments left but i'm still too stubborn to move. i know you're gonna live out in the city. so you come here and find me so in love, singing old songs, with one eye on the next train.
let's break into the house, i don't see anybody. i heard they have a swimming pool. when i see u in the nude. i might run around the block if you get caught, say you won't talk. savor all the moments that we have left and you just say "i know i may live and die out in the suburbs." will you come out and visit me next year when the seasons change will i see you on the next train.
